The recession/depression is likely to affect the online dating industry negatively, according to this article. People are already paring down expenditures on the “extra’s,” one of which may be their pricey subscriptions to Match.com, eHarmony, or JDate, among others. This could be good news for a new dating site with a flexible business model.
